Why does Upfront Foods put nutritional information and ingredients on the front of the package?
The answer is simple, just like our products. Who wants to pick up a package and turn it around to see what's inside? We just want to make it easier for you. Plus, we're proud of our simple and delicious ingredients, and proud of our Non GMO granola, so we put them up front for the world to see. We are all about making things simple and easy, which is why our granola makes an easy and healthy breakfast snack.
Is Upfront Foods' granola gluten free?
No. Although our granolas are wheat free, our oats are not gluten free.
Is Upfront Food Granola Non GMO Granola?
Yes, Upfront Foods' granolas have been verified by the Non-GMO Project. The Non-GMO Project is North America's only independent verification for products made according to best practices for GMO avoidance.
Are your products Kosher?
Yes, all three Upfront Foods’s granolas are Kosher certified, one of the world's most respected symbols of kosher approval. We hope you enjoy our Kosher cereal snacks often!
How long can you use a product after the "Best By" date?
The “Best By” date is recommended for best flavor or quality. It is not a purchase or safety date. Because of their high oil content, whole grains and nuts can spoil easily so, “When in doubt, throw out.”
Why does Upfront Foods use pouches to package their granola?
Many cereals come packaged in boxes with an inside bag. What a waste! Once opened, the interior bag doesn't seal and the cereal gets stale quickly. We designed our packaging to provide you with delicious food in a single serving pouch that ensures it's safe, convenient and fresh. By using a flexible packaging pouch, Upfront Foods is reducing waste and energy consumption in the manufacturing and transportation of our products.

Are there any preservatives or artificial ingredients in Upfront Foods' Granola?
Absolutely not. Every ingredient that goes into making our great-tasting granola is clean and uncomplicated. We've made sure that all ingredients in Upfront Foods' Granola are free of artificial ingredients or preservatives, making it the perfect healthy breakfast snack. Our (take out 9) simple ingredients are:
Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats: Our certified organic rolled oats come from one of America's premier milling companies with 5 decades of milling experience.
Flaxseed: Upfront Foods' True Cold Milled® Flaxseed supplier is a fifth-generation family farm located on the rolling plains of North Dakota. The suppliers of our TCM® Flaxseed supervise every phase of production, from preparing the seedbed and maintaining the soil through timely harvest, they make it their business to nurture and supervise every phase of production. Their exclusive True Cold Milled® product has non GMO Project Verification and contains no preservatives or artificial ingredients.
Maple Syrup: Upfront Foods' 100% maple syrup supplier is a seventh-generation family farm in Vermont. The supplier states, "All of our pure maple syrup is made from 100% pure maple sap extracted from wild, natural maple trees – 40 years old and older. These trees are wild maple trees and not cultivated. The trees have not been genetically modified. Since no other ingredients are added to the product, it does not contain any genetically modified ingredients and contains no added flavors or preservatives."
Nuts: Upfront Foods' pecan and almond supplier has been in business since 1913. It started as a small shelling company in Georgia. The company has a commitment to quality and service that has turned it into the industry leader that it is today. It is the only SQF level 3 Pecan company in the United States. They state, " We are committed to producing safe, top-quality pecan products for our customers and consumers."
Brown Sugar: Upfront Foods’ uses 100% pure cane sugar in our products.
Expeller Pressed Non GMO Canola Oil: Upfront Foods’ expeller pressed non GMO Canola oil supplier is a fourth generation family business. Our Canola oil has non GMO Project Verification. Upfront Foods' canola oil supplier is one of the largest indoor bulk processing departments in the U.S.
Organic Orange Peel Powder: Upfront Foods’ orange peel supplier states the organic orange peel powder is obtained from clean, sound, mature oranges. The fruit is washed and the peel is cut and dried. It is a product of the U.S. and is certified organic.
Sea Salt: Upfront Foods’ fine sea salt comes from Italy and the waters of the Mediterranean and is naturally made from the sea and the sun.
Cranberries: Upfront Foods’ cranberry supplier is located in the fruit-growing region of Michigan. It is a federated marketing cooperative representing grower owned processing plants across North America and has been in business since 1973. Our Cranberry supplier is the industry leader in red tart cherries, apples and blueberries and also a major supplier of cranberries, strawberries and pomegranate arils. Their strict quality control of production processes, using safety methods such as HACCP, ensure the safest possible products. They also provide GMO free and Kosher selections.
